SOUTHERN MARYLAND SPRING 2016 CLASS – Consulting, Training, and Development Services partnered with St Mary’s County Office of Economic Development and the Southern Maryland America Job Center to provide Project Opportunity^SM to veterans who reside in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties. After the completion of the orientation and telephonic screening assessments a total of eleven (11) veterans were accepted into the program. Here is a summary of their business ventures:

• Home Health Care
• Winery
• Bed and Breakfast
• Child Care Staffing Agency

Classes started on April 13, 2016 at the Carter State Office Building located in Leonardtown.

The Graduation Ceremony was held on June 22, 2016 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.  A total of eleven (11) veterans completed the course and graduated. Those business ventures that these graduating veterans are seeking to start or expand are:

Secretary George W. Owings III, Secretary Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs was the Guest Speaker.

Katina McDonald, a graduate of the Project Opportunity^SM Fall 2014 Class held in Odenton, Maryland and Owner of Photography by Katina McDonald provided the photographic services for the ceremony.

Murraydine Catering, owned by Murraydine Williams a Project Opportunity^SM Anne Arundel Fall 2015 Class Graduate provided catering services for the graduation ceremony.
