SOUTHERN MARYLAND FALL 2018 CLASS – Consulting, Training, and Development Services partnered with St Mary’s County Department of Economic Development, Charles County Department of Economic Development, Calvert County Department of Economic Development, PNC Bank, BB&T Bank, Disk Enterprise Solutions, Precise Systems, Inc., Spalding Consulting, Leonardtown Rotary Club, PlanIt4UEvent Planning, and the Southern Maryland America Job Center to provide Project Opportunity^SM to veterans who reside in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties. After the completion of the orientation and telephonic screening assessments a total of six (6) veterans were accepted into the program. Here is a summary of their business ventures:

• Family Entertainment Center
• Lawn Care/Yard Maintenance
• Financial Planning
• Commercial Cleaning

Classes started on September 10, 2018 at the Charles County Government Building which was provided by the Charles County Department of Economic Development.

The Graduation Ceremony was held on November 19, 20189 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.  A total of four (4) veterans completed the course and graduated. Those business ventures that these graduating veterans are seeking to start or expand are:

• Lawn Care/Yard Maintenance
• Financial Planning

Fred Barnes, Founder/CEO of TAC Integrated Solutions, Inc. and Project Opportunity^SM Graduate from the Columbia Maryland Fall 2013 Class and Secretary George W. Owings III, Secretary Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs were the Guest Speakers.
