Project OpportunitySM – Featured Success Story

Reveille Grounds
Business Name: Reveille Grounds
What was the most important thing you learned during Project Opportunity?:
During my time in the Project OpportunitySM Spouse Course, I was gifted with the tools to get Reveille Grounds started on the right foot. I had the luxury of coaching from Brenda and Joe when it came to the vital crafting of my business plan, and there is no doubt that the formulaic approach and continued support has ensured thoughtful consideration of our plan to achieve financial sustainability, viable partnerships, and calculated, strategic growth.
What successes have you had since completing Project Opportunity?:
When I began my Project OpportunitySM course, I had a dream to scale the Baltimore Military Muster and open the doors of our very own brick and mortar collaboration space… someday. By the end of the course, though, I felt confidence in our vision and business plan, and found myself equipped and ready to embrace our new 501c3 status while laying the groundwork for rapid progression. Since I graduated in Fall 2020, we’ve built a talented Board of Directors, relaunched the Baltimore Military Muster (and grew to meeting monthly), secured seed grant funding, co-branded a Veterans Day brew with Checkerspot Brewing, were selected as a Catalyst organization with Stand Together Foundation, and are about to sign a lease for our first physical space. We’re confident that without the foundation PO allowed us to thoughtfully lay, we wouldn’t be on track for formally opening the doors of Baltimore’s Veteran & Community Impact Hub in Fall 2023!
