Anthony M. Butler, Sr. is a proud Air Force veteran and native of Baltimore, Maryland. Anthony has been a Facilitator for the Project OpportunitySM Business Plan Class for the Montgomery County region since 2022 after being introduced to the program while working as the Regional Manager of the MD Department of Labor’s Veterans Program. Mr. Butler has spent his adult life working directly with aspiring entrepreneurs while sharing his E3 philosophy (Educate, Encourage, Empower) for business growth and community revitalization with thousands in the US, its territories, and Europe. For nearly 30 years, his marketing and relationship-building concepts have been used in numerous industries, helping leaders from Fortune 500, government, educational, faith-based, and military organizations to streamline processes and create dynamic leadership models & community engagement campaigns in economic development and quality of life.

Mr. Butler is the creator of the 3-30-300TM, an initiative for economic growth, So You Want To Be An EntrepreneurTM professional development series, and numerous workshops around business development, entrepreneurial empowerment, community engagement & advocacy, servant leadership, and strategies for organizations. He has presented to 10,000 aspiring entrepreneurs, advocacy leaders, and change agents and is known for his direct yet personable approach to audiences of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, and creeds.

In 2012 his leadership and efforts were recognized simultaneously by both the Republican and Democratic parties as a representative to meet FLOTUS Michelle Obama. Mr. Butler has helped place entrepreneurs and veterans in over 50 boards, commissions, and local coalitions nationwide and is acknowledged as an influencer of public perceptions and advocacy efforts.

In 2014 he was named one of the Top 50 Small Business influencers in Florida and has been recognized Internationally for his community service and leadership efforts with awards and acknowledgments from the National Sales Network, Taco Bell Foundation, Florida Blue, International Society of Pershing Rifles (Morgan State University Alumni Chapter), Harlem Globetrotters, Deltas, Masters of Industry (Florida), Aetna, and faith-based organizations.

He is a certified Boots 2 Business facilitator for the Small Business Administration and a Florida Supreme Court-certified mediator.

In 2023 Mr. Butler was certified as a Next Level Instructor and Business Coach providing ongoing support, guidance, and entrepreneurial techniques to Project OpportunitySM graduates and current students.

Project OpportunitySM [PO] – The ultimate roadmap to planning your business. I had a catchy name. A good idea. A career with a Fortune 500 company. What I did not have was a plan to put it all together. 13 weeks later I had a plan and have never looked back. PO, like a roadmap guided me through everything from legal set up, to financial questions that I needed to ask myself. It gave me the opportunity to present my idea before successful business professionals and receive valuable feedback and insight. I was able to listen to others in the class discuss their ideas and learn from their experiences. I cannot count the number of times I have reviewed my initial PO plan just to confirm that I am on plan and on track. All this being said. The most impressive part of the Project was the enthusiasm and knowledge of the weekly guests who gave up their time to show their appreciation for a Vet. Project OpportunitySM helped boost my confidence in being a business owner at a time  when I was facing many challenges. Upon first thought, I wanted my initial brick and mortar business to be my exit strategy from my current employment. However, after going through the training I revised my business plan and realized that there was no way upon my first endeavor that was going to happen.

The course also helped with networking as I took great pleasure in hearing former graduates share their stories and I now realize how important it is to share my own.

Having had a 20-year radio broadcast career, I basically know the operation of commercial radio. what i didn’t know, however, was the business side of radio. enrolling, then subsequently graduating from PROJECT OPPORTUNITY in 2017, I , now , can speak with relative authority on business fundamentals. kudos to JOE GIORDANO  and his staff.

When I started  Project OpportunitySM, I could have been considered a serial entrepreneur. Project OpportunitySM helped me to take a realistic snapshot of my skillset, resources, and passion.
